Yes, #Blacklivesmatter whether you agree they do or not

We need to talk. This isn't working out. It's not you, it's me...or maybe it is me. Either way, this needs to end, and now. This relationship has become toxic and caused nothing but heartache and grief. Racism isn't working out and it never has.  White privilege is real, and so is white fragility. Systemic racism has been inherent in our country since long before #bluelivesmatter or #alllivesmatter.  Black lives matter is a movement and philosophy that is important because whether you choose to see it and believe it or not. Black people, African Americans, and people of color have been left in the literal dust in this country since it was "discovered" in 1492. Dying in streets since black people were kidnapped and brought to this country to be sold into an inhumane trade and forced to labor or to be another man's sexual pawn against their own will and judgment, and shot in the back and left mommas crying for far too long. Hey, Stranger!

Oh, Hello again! It's been a lonnnnggggg time y'all!!! Since I last published on my blog almost 5 years ago I've done A LOT of different things.  For those that know me, I've been a dancer basically my whole life. I've been teaching ballroom dance since early 2008, and traveled the country doing some pretty amazing things in my dance career. Have y'all been present for 2020? It's been a TRIP. We've been dealing with the coronavirus, internationally, since late last year, we have seen a HUGE movement within the black community and #blacklivesmatter (I'll do a...

Amid phrases like "I drink jalapeƱos for breakfast," and "oh my gosh, that puppy is so cute!" Or, "don't look, her leggings are sheer!! Eek!" We stumbled upon a rather serious topic...see, we are both over 30, and while that's still relatively young, we arent quite green behind the ears anymore. I just turned 30 a little over a month ago, and she is 32 and newly married...so yes, by all stretches of reality, we are very young still, and that's great!! However...have you ever heard someone tell you that the crazy things you did when you were younger would some day catch up with you?? Well, 30 seems to be the golden ticket ladies and gentlemen!! We have both led very active lifestyles and both have very physically demanding caree...
